Sorry about the long delay in posting, but I've been working on my new graphic memoir Muscle Memory, which I've started to serialize on line, you can check it out here
http://muscle memorymemoir.blogspot.com. Last year I had an exhibition of my paintings also titled Muscle Memory. These are autobiographical works exploring attitudes towards disability, especially in relation to the media's obsession with perfection, and mostly dream based. They include amongst other things: symbolic portraits of Finnish Comic artist Kaisa Leka, who is a double amputee, Disabled artists Alison Lapper and Fridha Kahlo, and Ghita, a triple amputee, who became a renowned Burlesque performer. as well as a self-portrait done whilst blind, and a 'sighted' painting based on it. Enjoy.
